Sitting by the sea, she was aimlessly staring at the sun. In no time, the sun and the lights died out, being replaced with darkness and obscurity. The moon also refused to show itself tonight. But in that emptiness also, she could distinctly see the quietness of the sky being reflected in the stillness of the sea.
Soon, the pain was coming. Even though she tried shaking away the images and the memories of the past, she could not hold the pain from seeping in her. She touched her face, it seemed wet. Small drops of tears welled in her eyes. She closed them and they started to fall as more and more tears began to fill in them. Eyes seemed red, and heart heavy. The memories ran through her mind, yet again. The memories were just a few images with some sound, perhaps. Recalling all that seemed pointless. She knew they were just images, quiet and still. Like, maybe, a print on a page. But they really did rip her heart apart, they tore her chest and let it bleed. The blood of pain, anger and frustration that no one can ever see or understand.
She had accepted that the pain would never ever decrease, as a matter of fact but she’d definitely become strong enough to bear it. Maybe one day she’d be brave enough to look back at those good old days and without tears in her eyes and pain in her heart, thank God for everything. Maybe someday she'd be able to see it that way.
